the lights will inspire you...

I spent 4 days in New York last weekend and oh, what a wonderful 4 days they were. My dear friend and fellow yoga instructor Melissa came with me for the trip and I had such an amazing time.  On Friday evening the two of us ventured to Broadway to have a lovely French dinner at Brasserie 8 1/2 followed by a magnificent viewing of the longest running show on Broadway history- The Phantom of The Opera. One word-- WOW. The duck breast on croquettes was delectible and the phantom's beautiful tenor tone gave me chills and goosebumps throughout the entire show.  Afterwards, Melissa and took a cab over to the Meatpacking District and had some nice ginger margaritas at SpiceMarket followed by free drinks at RDV down the street! (bless the club promoters) Our wonderful host, Josh, returned from a business trip and the three of us went to brunch in Williamsburg on Saturday at Le Barricou.  I had a delicious croque madame and a great bloody mary (or 2) complete with house pickled green bean
